Managers, board members and residents are being challenged with issues related to mental health, and in aging populations dementia can present other concerns. Understand how the board should respond when dealing with resident behavior that could present a danger to the resident and/or others as well as building and resident safety.
The program will also inform managers and boards about their role and responsibility in addressing vacant/vacated units. What should the board do when the unit is vacant due to a residents death and there are no surviving relatives, what is the responsibility of the board to ensure that the unit is maintained, what about the condo fees, who pays when there is damage to the unit. These and other questions around vacant units will be addressed.
