Vermont Legislative Action Committee (VTLAC)
12/1/2009

Community Associations Institute (CAI) announces the establishment of the CAI Vermont Legislative Action Committee (VTLAC).  The VTLAC is the 31st authorized CAI Legislative Action Committee (LAC) in the country and will represent Vermont members and homeowners in the public policy arena, and work on state legislative and regulatory activities important to the creation and operation of common interest communities including condominium associations.

Founded in 1973 as a multi-disciplinary non-profit alliance serving all stakeholders in common interest communities, Community Associations Institute (CAI) is the only national organization with local New England chapter offices dedicated to fostering vibrant, responsive, competent community associations.  As the national advocate for common interest communities, CAI is committed to encouraging the active participation of community association advocates in helping define community association law.  As part of that commitment to advocacy, CAI fosters the formation of LACs to ensure the voice of community associations is heard and heeded.  LAC members are CAI’s representatives before state legislatures, regulatory bodies and the courts.

CAI VTLAC members include industry professionals David Boston, CMCA, AMS, Simpson Property Management, LLC; Paul T. Carroccio, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, TPW Management, LLC; Jon Readnour, Esq., Readnour Associates, P.C.; John Watanabe, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, Winterplace at Okemo; and Larry Wohler, CMCA, AMS, Statton Property Management.  Their volunteer efforts reflect CAI’s dedication to representing the government and public affairs interests of CAI members and homeowners.
